This photo taken as the structure stands today located in Wolfsville, Maryland was once home and medical office of Dr. Lewis A. Lamar, Father of Dr. Austin Algernon Lamar.

This two-story frame house was built by Dr. Lewis Lamar around 1877.  The original structure had three bays, with a fourth added and likely used for the physician's office.  The exterior was originally covered with german siding.  The windows are 6/6.  A one-story porch with turned columns extends across the south elevation.  The roof is that of standing seam metal.  The chimney is located at the original west end, now enclosed by the additional bay.  Also on the property is a frame summer kitchen with asbestos shingle siding and a standing seam metal roof.  the windows are 2/2 with molded lintels and the door is a four-panel type.  the chimney is located on the north interior wall.  A frame smokehouse has tongue and groove siding and a composition roof.

In and around 1920, and following Dr. Lewis A. Lamar's ownership, Rooklyn Pryor ran a small general store within the first story of the structure.
